Since 1991, a total of 60 artists have been honored.

The criteria for selection is as follows:
- a person sixty years of age or older
- has a noticeable career of artistic attainment
- is still creating
- has made a measurable impact on the Southwest Pennsylvania community
Once we receive names for nomination, we will contact the nominee for further instructions.
Please discuss with your nominee the following required materials for consideration (materials to be submitted at a later date).
- we will ask that they submit ten pieces of work, with an emphasis on recent works for jury consideration.
- works must be submitted digitally
- include a brief biography highlighting accomplishments of career until present
- if nominees have submitted to us in the past, new submissions are not necessary, but certainly welcome
- full details of materials necessary for consideration will be sent to the nominee
